Canine Comforts is all about a better way to life fulfillment. The first priority is the promotion of calm, stress-free and mutually beneficial relationships between dogs, their care givers, owners and families. This is accomplished through development of language and interaction skills, understanding proper nutrition and basic sound health care on all levels.

Canine Comforts is owned and operated by Roger Wiseman, a lifelong dog lover with over 40 years of dog owning experience.

Originally from the Finger Lakes region of western New York State, Roger came south in 1995, first to Baton Rouge, then to San Antonio. Before Canine Comforts his professional career was in the technical science and research community, specifically materials research and medical device development. He is currently named on several patents and publications.

Roger is a lifetime member of the International Society for Canine Cosmetologists, the organization through which he has received his training as a groomer. He regularly attends symposiums and workshops to continue his education and is particularly interested in canine health care and non-violent methods of food production.
