Only one at a time

Friday, May 27th, 2011

Your dog or your family of dogs will be the only ones in the grooming studio while the grooming experience is underway. There won’t be chaos and anxiety and other dog folks waiting stressed out in cages. This is such a nice way to work. Appointments make this possible, so that’s how we have set up our shop. Sometimes this means a little wait for a grooming time, so it’s always best to get on a regular grooming schedule. With scheduling we can even accommodate special events like weddings and family visits. Your dog will be fresh and ready and looking his best for all the photos.

It’s quite a stress reliever to have things set up and planned out a little bit. Just ask Chips. He knows his supper comes at about the same time every day.

Release Your Inner Show Dog

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

We can help you do that!  Groucho Marx said “Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.” Well, it may be too dark to read but there is an inner glow and pride in every dog. We as owners and groomers can help that glow show on the outside, whether it’s joy released from catching a ball or Frisbee, from running the agility course while watching the happy owner, or from being clean and fresh and beautiful and getting all those extra pets that a show dog deserves.

The ball and Frisbee will be up to you but Canine Comforts is here to help with the groom. See the transformation. Release that Show Dog!

“Shave-down please!”

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

“Shave-down please,” says the conscientious dog owner.

“Um, is he going in for surgery?” questions the worthy groomer.

“No, he just gets so hot! I want him to be comfortable,” replies the concerned owner.

“Well, a shave-down can be dangerous to the long term health of your dog,” the groomer says, “I can only do a real shave-down at the request of your veterinarian. But, we can make sure your dog is comfortable, that’s easy.” (more…)

Really nice to touch….

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

dscf00081A dog who is groomed is really nice to touch; soft and clean.

If you haven’t felt a soft clean dog lately it might be time to bring yours in for a grooming. It’s easy, not expensive, and really worth it. Your dog needs you to touch her. You’ll find you can’t keep your hands off her. It’s why we have dogs, to touch them, which makes us feel good, and them feel great.

Give us a call and bring your dog in for grooming. You’ll be happy you did. The change is fantastic. The touch means so much.
